David "Davy" Michael Appling

David Michael Appling “Davy, Davo” was born July 20, 1978 (Age 46) and suddenly went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday July 8, 2025. Davy loved to fish and go to the races. He loved his family wholeheartedly. He loved to joke around and was always laughing and trying to make others laugh. Davy was loved by so many people and impacted so many lives.

Davy is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Shirley Appling, grandfather Charles Sands, and Aunt Cheryl (Appling) O’Baugh.

He is survived by his father David Appling (Corina), mother Debra Sands, sister and best friend Danielle Bowman (Chris), brother Chris Appling (Karen), son Cameron Mulligan, close cousin Dennis “Bubba” O’Baugh, and grandmother Etta Sands; nieces Lexi Jackson, Shaylyn Jackson, Makiya Martin, Kallie Disney, and Elizabeth Appling; nephews Dekota Jackson, Jozion Martin, Kaynan Bowman, CJ Appling, Dutton Appling; aunts and uncles Deborah Smith (John), Rhonda Williams (Gray), and Kristi Ridenour (Baby John); very special uncle Robbie Sands (Kathy), and many, many cousins, extended family and friends. 

Family to receive friends on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 6:00pm  - 8:00pm at the Mynatt Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 8:00pm. 

Pastor Jackie Bunch and Pastor Shannon Stone will be officiating the service.
