David Clayton Dunn

David Clayton Dunn age 66 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at NHC Knoxville.  David was a 1978 graduate of Gibbs High School where he played football.  He was a life-long farmer where he helped his father with their dairy farm and the family business servicing dairy equipment.  He was one of the last tobacco farmers in Knox County.  He was a member of Clapps Chapel Methodist Church.  Preceded in death by his parents, Jean and David E. Dunn.  Survivors; son and daughter-in-law, James and Hailey Dunn; grandchild, Phoenix Lewis; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Renee Dunn; close friend, Debbie Brock; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and nurses of NHC Knoxville for their special love and care they gave David and also to his close friends for their love and support.  Family and friends may call at their convenience 10:00 am till 5:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel 4131 E Emory Road Knoxville, TN. 37938.  Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Clapps Chapel Cemetery 7420 Clapps Chapel Road Corryton, TN 37721 Rev.
