David Alan Hansard, age 48, passed away on May 13, 2021 at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehab. He is now at Home with his Lord Jesus. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Fountain City and was a graduate of Fulton High School, class of 1992. He was a dedicated former employee of Winn Dixie, Food City and Sunshine Industries. He was a proud Special Olympic medalist. David never met a stranger, and he was loved by all that knew him. He was a dedicated son, brother, and uncle. Preceded in death by father Henry Eugene Hansard; brother Len Lawson, special aunt Zella Hansard, great-nephew Emmett Hansard and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survived by his mom Bessie Hansard, sister Patty Davis, brother Jay (Valaree) Hansard; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Special thanks to the caring staff of both Beverly Park Place and Avalon Hospice. There will be a viewing for friends and family, at their convenience on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Everyone is asked to assemble by 10:45 am on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 11:00 am graveside service.
