Danny Jay Branam

Danny Jay Branam Sr., 63, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Jay Branam Jr.; his parents, Mary and Kenneth Branam Sr.; his brothers, Jackie Dawson and Gerald “Jerry” Walker; his sisters, Cindy Ellison and Nellie Sharp; and his niece, Krista Walker.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth “Eddie” Branam; his nieces and nephews, James “Jimmy” Sharp II, Robert Sharp, Shatara Ellison, Elizabeth “Beth” Walker, Delano Ellison, Raheem Ellison, Kenneth Ellison (Tyquisha), and Keyona Bradshaw (Kaden); as well as a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a 7:00pm funeral service to follow. Family and friends will meet at Walker Family Cemetery, Sharps Chapel TN Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm graveside service. Condolences can be made at www.mynattfh.com.
