Daniel Winfield Pyne

Daniel Pyne, 80, Knoxville, TN died peacefully on November 28, 2023. 

He was born in Rogersville, TN to William and Margie Pyne (Clifford Webb).  He was proud to have been named after the late Judge Winfield B. Hale, also of Rogersville, TN. Upon graduating from Central High School (Knoxville, TN), Dan joined the army, later becoming a successful salesman and owner of Pyne’s Steakhouse and Holston Hardware. 

Dan was preceded in death by William and Margie Pyne (Clifford Webb), and brothers Robert Pyne, Henry Lee Pyne, Edward Pyne, niece Joy Pyne, and sister-in-law Celeste Webb and is survived by the mother of his children, Karen Byerly Pyne, his children Gregory Pyne, Katherine (Beth) Pyne, and Maria Pyne, his brothers Billy Pyne and Allan Webb, grandchildren Shelby Pugh (Ryan Pugh), Christopher Pyne, and Brock Rogers, and great grandchildren Kennedy Pugh and Lincoln Pugh, nephews and nieces: Aaron, Paul, Jesse, Rachael (Audrey) Webb, Robyn Duvall, sister-in-law Elaine Pyne (children Pat Christian and Dana Pyne (Haley), as well as many lifelong friends. 

Receiving friends will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City, TN from 11:00 – 12:00 on Saturday December 2, 2023.  A celebration of life will follow immediately from 12:00 – 12:40. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm at Lynnhurst in Fountain City, TN. 

Donations to Dementia Society of America or Veterans Affairs would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
