It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Cynthia Diane “Cindy” Lawson on June 18, 2026. Cindy left this world far too soon, leaving behind a loving family and countless friends who will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and love she shared throughout her life.
Cindy is survived by her sons, Jonathan (Samantha) Lawson, Josh Lawson (Teresa Mader), Jeremiah Lawson (Alexis Gresham), and Joseph Lawson; her beloved grandchildren, Makayla (Jalen) Davis, Ashlyn, Colt, Aliya, Kyle,Hayden, and Hunter Lawson; and her treasured great-grandson, Kaiden Davis. She shared the same love for her beloved dogs Jman and Jasmine. She is also survived by her special friend and neighbor, Jackie Nosich, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Above all else, Cindy’s greatest passion was supporting her children in everything they pursued. Her sons Jonathan, Joseph, and Jeremiah are well known throughout the local independent wrestling community, and Cindy was one of their most devoted supporters. She rarely missed a show, faithfully cheering them on from the crowd. Over the years, she formed many lasting friendships within the wrestling family—and, in true Cindy fashion, a few friendly rivalries as well. She delighted in playfully heckling the villains just as much as she loved celebrating her sons’ victories.
Cindy’s larger-than-life personality, unwavering love, and spirited presence made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed in the wrestling community, by her family and friends, and by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
The family will receive friends on June 26, 2026 from 5pm-7pm, with memorial service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Road, Knoxville, TN 37918. Condolences can be made at www.mynatt.com
