Curtisdene J. Nelson

Curtisdene J. Nelson, age 89, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2024. She was retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority after 25 plus years of service. She was a lifelong member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, an avid UT fan and lover of the Andy Griffith Show. Preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Revah (Carey) Nelson; brothers, Kenneth Nelson (Mary), Norman Nelson and Glenn Nelson (Carolyn); sister, Kathyrn McDonald and special nephew, Robert McDonald. Survivors; niece, Linda Rivard (Rick); nephew, Jeff Nelson and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; sister-in-law, Barbara Nelson (Norman). The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 PM Funeral Service, Pastor Donell King officiating.
