Craig Lawrence Townsend

Craig Lawrence Townsend, 78, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on April 7th, 2026. Originally from New England, Craig lived the last fifty years in Knoxville and considered himself a local. He was an Air Force veteran and worked as a medical equipment technician for GE Medical Systems. Craig loved playing the electric guitar, radio controlled (RC) airplanes, model trains, and putting together puzzles and model sets. He was an active member of the House Mountain RC Club.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy, his brother David, his father George, and his mother Louise. Craig is survived by his son Chris, daughter-in-law Tiffany, and beloved grandson Carwyn. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Charlotte and nephew Rodney.

Per Craig’s wishes, a funeral will not be held.
