Courtney Cuevas (Courtney Adair Spradlen), beloved daughter, mother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the age of 39. Courtney was a bright light — a sweet soul with a heart full of love, kindness, resilience and unwavering dedication to her family.
Born and raised in the Knoxville area, Courtney graduated from Fulton High School and remained deeply rooted in her community. She is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Robert (“Bob”) Spradlen.
Courtney was a devoted mother whose world revolved around her children: daughter Calloway; sons Cassen, Colten, Cruz Garrison, and Blaise Cuevas. Her children were her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every moment with them. Whether cheering from the sidelines at their games, volunteering at their schools, or simply being present in their lives, Courtney’s dedication and love for her family knew no bounds.
She is survived by her brother Hans Kristopher (Kris) Lambert; Uncles Gary (Robin) Spradlen, Andy (Joan) Vanover, Paul (Jennifer) Rutherford; Aunts Tonya (Scott) Rakes and Lisa (Paul) Bowen as well as a host of nieces, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Courtney will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
Details for a celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
