Cody Lynn Hensley

Cody Lynn Hensley, age 40, of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, died Monday, December 22, 2025 at Tennova North Medical Center. Cody was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Hensley; maternal grandfather, Clell Lampkin; paternal grandparents, Dan and Myrtle Hensley; great grandmother, Vera Fowler; brother, Edward Hensley; uncle, Clarence Lampkin; aunt, Betty Vanover and nephew, Dustin Bates. Cody had a great love for fishing and hunting. He was deeply loved by all of his family members. He fought for weeks battling pneumonia. His battle is over and he is now pain free. Cody is survived by his devoted mother, Barbara Hensley; grandmother, Phyllis Lampkin; sister and brother-in-law, Misty and Jesse Hobbs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven Hensley, Clifford and Rachel Hensley, Andy and Leotty Hensley, Dakota Hensley and Tim Hannah; special cousin, Amy Sprague; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel followed by a celebration of Cody’s life at 5:00 PM.
