Cloyd David Ramsey

October 18, 1944 — December 30, 2024

Cloyd David Ramsey, age 80, of Knoxville, TN formally of Halls went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:05 AM. David was released from his mortal body at home, surrounded by his loving family. David was a member of Park West Church Middlebrook.

Preceded in death by son, Darin Ramsey; parents Ralph and Ollie Jane Ramsey; sisters, Martha Harmon of Michigan, June Strickland of Knoxville, Naomi Fortier of Massachusetts, Iona Rule of Florida, Myrtle Ladner of Mississippi, Dorothy Brown of Canada, Norma Bolding of Knoxville; also leaving behind a host of nieces and nephews. David loved and enjoyed all his family, now he is enjoying his heavenly family.

David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn Cooper Ramsey; daughter Tami Ramsey Patterson (Steve); four grandchildren, Devon Wilson, Madison Lenox (Sam), David and Daniel Ramsey; special daughter, Traci Lunsford; seven great grandchildren, Jaxon Byrd, Aiden, Ben, and Zella Lenox, Ava, Issac, and Will Wilson.

A special thank you to Rita Isaac, CNA for all the wonderful care you provided. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (at John Sevier) for a 12:30 PM graveside where his family will share memories of David’s Life.
