Church Scott Rines

March 6, 2026 — March 6, 2026

Knoxville

Church Scott Rines was born straight into the arms of Jesus on March 6, 2026, at 12:13 p.m. He weighed 9 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 21 inches long. He had a head full of hair and looked a lot like his big sister.

Though his time on earth was brief, Church was deeply loved and eagerly anticipated. His short life brought immeasurable joy to his family. The hospital halls were lined with family and friends who wanted him to feel nothing but love and support during his time here.

Church is the beloved son of Braden Scott and Rylee Anne Rines and the cherished little brother of Suede Abington.

He is lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Scott and Karen Rines, and Todd and Leeanne Halliburton. His great-grandparents earth side are, Don and Ethel Davis, Jack and Ann Halliburton, and Vic and Vicki Howard.

Church is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Ally Davis (Dylan), Kortney Johnson (Jonathan), Dalton Halliburton (McKenzie), and Dylan Halliburton (Emily).

Church belongs to a special “cousin club” that will carry his memory forever: Suede, Atlas, Elowyn, and Church. Though his place among them leaves a space that can never be filled, he will always be part of their story.

His middle name is shared with his father and paternal grandfather. Church had a quiet, but courageous disposition which reflected the legacy of the men who share his name.

Church will forever be held in the hearts of those who love him. His extended family is large and love him deeply.

His parents fondly associate ducks and the color green with his memory. Though his time here was short, his life and the love surrounding it have touched countless hearts.

"But even if He does not... we will still trust Him."

- Daniel 3:18
