Christopher Lorne Rudd, age 58, passed away on October 19, 2025, surrounded by his family and so much love. Born on May 28, 1967, he lived a meaningful life filled with love and laughter.
He was a dedicated land surveyor for many years, a profession he truly loved. His work reflected his strong attention to detail and his pride in a job well done. Outside of work, he spent countless hours coaching softball and baseball, sharing his love for the game and helping shape the lives of young athletes. On weekends, you could always find him on the golf course, enjoying the game and the company of good friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonya Dixon; his father, Eugene “Sue” Rudd; and his stepfather, Martin Babb.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle McIntosh (Tyler); his mother, Jodi Babb; his brothers, Troy Rudd (Darlene) and Chase Rudd; and his sister, Shelly Albright (David). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Dillion Anglin and McKenzie Harrell, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife of 32 years, Pam Rudd, the mother of his daughter, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories with.
He was blessed with so many dear friends, including Karen Stafford and Jenny Adams, who supported and cared for him in countless ways.
He will be remembered for his hard work, his loud mouth, and the way he could always make you laugh. His love will live on through his family, friends, and his four faithful dogs, Wrong-Way, Sue, Biscuit, and Bunny, who were always by his side.
A special thank you to Caris Hospice for their compassion and support, and to Acacia Rutledge, who cared for him with extraordinary kindness and made sure he was always comfortable and surrounded by love.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Mike Vincent officiating.
