Cheryl Jarnagin Crye, 64, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 4, 2023, after a three-year battle with breast cancer. Born September 14, 1959, to Kenneth and Fontella Jarnagin in Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by her parents and infant sister Elaine. Survived by her children; Todd Turner (Tara) and Natalie Helton (Zach), grandchildren; Liam and Lukas Turner, Anderson, Everly, and Beckett Helton; sister, Traci Rhea (Scott); nieces, Sarah Calkin (Derrick) and Meredith Huffaker (Josh) and multiple great nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was a devoted member of Sharon Baptist Church in Powell, TN. She dedicated her career to the healthcare field and formed many great friendships through her work. Additionally, Cheryl was an active participant in Akima Club, where she enjoyed volunteering and serving others, even during times when she was the one in need of care. Despite facing difficult days, she always had others in mind and was eager to help them. Cheryl's unwavering positivity inspired others. She never complained or questioned her life, instead asking "why not me?" She showed tremendous bravery and battled courageously until the very end.

Visit with Cheryl’s family at Sharon Baptist Church (7916 Pedigo Rd) from 5-7 PM on Monday, December 11, 2023, followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, Cheryl has requested donations to Akima Club (P.O. Box 52862, Knoxville, TN 37950-2862) in her name. Donations will go towards the Akima grants that help local non-profits in the Knoxville community.
