Cheryl Jean Carden

Cheryl Foster Carden, 73, of Knoxville, TN passed away on September 30, 2023. Although she will be greatly missed, we rejoice knowing we will see her again!

Cheryl loved to serve the Lord and attended St. Nektarios Orthodox Church in Lenoir City, TN. She was a selfless servant and spent her career caring for others and worked as a nurse until retirement. In
Cheryl’s downtime, she loved to be surrounded by her family and they would enjoy family road trips!
Those left to cherish Cheryl’s memory are: her loving husband of 53 years, Dwight; daughter, Tatanya
Winter (John); grandchild, Austin Winter; mother, Betty Lou King; sister, Beverly Pugh (Gary); nephew,
Nathaniel Donley; along with several friends.

In lieu of flowers, the Carden family requests donations be made to: Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, samaritanspurse.org.

The Carden family will honor Cheryl with a Graveside Service on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Family and
friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. service. Father Job Watts will
officiate the service.
