Charline Isabell Hess

Hess, Charline Vaughn, age 95, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, April 13th, 2017 quietly with her daughter Karen at her side. A graduate of UT, she taught school in Oak Ridge for several years. After the death of her husband, she became manager of Tri-State Sawmill Supply which was owned by Hobart. She was a Member of Arlington Baptist Church. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was preceded in death by husband J. Hobart Hess, parents Charles T. and Ella Frances Waller Vaughn. She is survived by 3 daughters Patsy Decker, Charlotte Carr and Karen Russell, 6 grandsons, 3 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter, and foster sister (cousin) Aline Clark Coffey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Arlington Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17th, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Arlington Baptist Church, 4383 Lifespring Lane, Knoxville, TN 37917, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 p.m. with The Reverends John Lovelace and Marty Henry officiating.
