Charles Elwood Sharpe

Charles Elwood Sharpe, age 90, of Knoxville, TN went to be with Jesus, Sunday, August 18, 2024. He was a longtime member of Sharon Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Geraldine Sharpe; parents, Emmette and Mary Sharpe; siblings, Elvin Sharpe, Verlin Sharpe, Edna Gibson, Eula Bullard and Jeanette Hansard. Charles is survived by his dear friend, caregiver and “daughter”, Stacey Greene; nieces, Allison Hickman, Tami Kistler and Penny Bowers; great nephews, Garrett Clark and Stefan Clark; dear friends, Brenda Dye, Dwayne Dye and Kris Dye, Doug Koontz and Dennis Koontz, Troy Greene and Ryan Greene, and Doris and Carl Foust. The family would like to express their appreciation to University of Tennessee Hospice, nurse Megan Browning and caregiver, Shelia Cupps for their support and care during Charles illness. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to noon Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet by 12:45 PM Thursday at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service with Reverend Mark McCoig and Dr. Jim Robertson officiating.
