Charles "Chuck" Bernard Haase III

Charles "Chuck" Bernard Haase, III, of Knoxville, TN, passed away at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center on September 22, 2024, after an extended illness.

“Chuck” was a 1976 graduate of Halls High School. He attended University of Alabama, where he earned two Doctorates, and served in the United States Navy. He retired from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center where he was a Laser Surgeon for over 25 years. He was a devout Christian and attended Bethel Baptist Church. Chuck loved football, and put his support behind his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings, and of course the Volunteers of the University of Tennessee. He found peace in nature, often sitting outdoors for hours, simply listening. His family was his world. He will be missed so very much, but we find comfort knowing he is no longer in pain. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bernard Haase, Jr. and Ella Franklin Haase; and by his brother, John Kevin Haase. 

Charles is survived by his wife, Naomi Ruth Osborne Nipper Haase; daughter Shana Smith (Chris), Ariana Hickman (Brady); step-son, John Nipper; grandsons, Vincent, Syrus, Waylon, and Matthew; granddaughter, Kynlee; brother, Glenn Haase (Kim); nephew, Sammy Pero; great nephew, Michael Pero; best friend, Keith Fortner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Sheila Elliott, and Larry and Marlene Wilson; father-in-law, Reverend Kenneth Osborne; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow.
