Cathy Denise Mitchell

Cathy Denise Mitchell, age 64, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Westmoreland Health and Rehab.  Cathy was saved at a young age and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a former Surgical Technologist at the old Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.  It was a career that she was so proud of.  She loved the outdoors.  Camping, outdoors and spending her time at Norris Lake was something she loved doing.  She loved her family and cherished the times she spent with them.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, John Morgan and her mother, Betty Aitken.  She was also preceded in death by the Love of her Life, Jordan Mitchell.

She is survived by her son, David (Heather) Wood and her daughter, Amanda (Stephen) Hill; grandchildren, Alexis (Blake) Hobbs, Alex Wood, Sadie-Lynn Wood and Bella Hill; great grandchild, Bo; sister, Susan (Robbie) York; nephews, Robert (Ron) York, Josh (Shanda) York; great nephew, Ryan York; aunt, Carolyn (Dan) Harrison; several other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel for their help and generosity.

There will be a private Celebration of Life held for the family of Cathy Mitchell at a later date.
