Carroll E. Smith

Carroll E. Smith, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2023. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Smith; parents J.E. and Nell Smith; brother, Marshall Smith; parents-in-law, Charlie and Bertha Cox; and brother-in-law, Dennis Cox. He is survived by his son, Johnny Smith; daughter, Michelle (Jason) Ryder; grandchildren, Jake and Ella Ryder; brother, Gary (Betty) Smith; sister, Wanda (John) Hutchison; sister-in-law, Faye Smith; brother-in-law, David (Sarah) Cox; special cousin, Tommy Warwick; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. A 7:00 pm service will follow, with Kyle Shell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 am to go in procession to Smith Family Cemetery at Snodderly Church for an 11:00 am graveside service, with Kyle Shell and Gary Smith officiating.
