Carolyn Inez Sharp

Carolyn “Carol” Inez Sharp, age 79 of Knoxville, TN gained her heavenly wings on May 17th, 2026.

She was well cherished and will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and devoted friend. She never turned down anyone in need and was always known as “Mamaw” to many.

Carolyn was a very driven and hard working woman. In her previous years, she worked for Cas Walker Grocery, and worked for her dad’s medical practitioner for many years. In her spare time, she loved to plant flowers, make desserts, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Rainbow Baptist Church. Carolyn loved the Lord and was never afraid to share her testimony!

She is welcomed in Heaven by her loving mother, Lois Franklin; devoted father, Marvin Franklin; brother, Gary Franklin; sister, Attricia Franklin; son, Daniel Ledbetter; and granddaughter, Brittney Faye.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her longtime feathered friend, “Kiwi” and her baby, Mertle the Turtle; brother, Ronald Franklin; nephew, Vince Franklin; children, Mike Ledbetter, Yvonne Rader, and Shannon Messer; her grand(bonus)children whom she raised, Amber and Ambria Miller; special Daughter- In Law, Jamie Farmer; a host of many grand and great-grandchildren too many to name, but all hold a special place in her heart; and a wonderful friend, Sonya Lowery.

Carolyn was a one of a kind, loving and caring person who will forever live in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on May 30th, 2026 from 4 pm-5pm, followed by a 5:00pm service at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Pastor David Buchanon, officiating.
