Carolyn Joyce (Lewis) Davis

Carolyn “Joyce” (Lewis) Davis, age 79, formerly of the Pedigo and Heiskell, TN communities, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2024. 

 She was a retired cafeteria manager for Knox County Schools food service for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. Also, she enjoyed crafting, cooking and watching Tennessee football and basketball. Carolyn was a member of Bishopville Baptist Church in Heiskell for 51 years. 

Preceded in death by parents, Glenn Elmo Lewis and Pauline Juanita Lewis (Holbert); husband, Johnny Glen Davis; sister-in-law, Patricia Lewis.

Survived by daughters, Lisa Ann Davis, Susan Elizabeth Laughters (Arlo) and Jennifer Davis Cunningham (Daniel); siblings, David Wayne Lewis (Karen) and Hubert Ray Lewis (Cora).

Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel from 5:00 pm until time of funeral service at 7:00 pm with John Wesley Lewis and Rev. John Holland officiating. Family and friends will meet on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:45 am at Bishopville Cemetery for a 12:00 pm graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Sacred Ground Hospice House.
