Carolyn Denise Coats

Carolyn Denise Coats, age 56 of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Carolyn loved making people smile by giving gifts and trinkets of her appreciation. Carolyn had a huge heart and never came across anyone she didn’t love. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray Sands and Annie-Mae Sands. Survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Joshua Coats; sons Billy Hensley and Steven Brady; sister, Patty Crawford; many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery off of John Sevier Highway at 12:15pm for a 12:30pm graveside service.
