Carolyn Sue Atkins

Carolyn Sue Atkins, age 77, of Knoxville, TN earned her wings, Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Carolyn loved life, traveling, music and her pets. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Juanita Atkins; brothers; Danny and Larry Atkins; sister, Angela Atkins; nephew, Bronson Atkins. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Scott Hurst; sisters, Linda (Lonnie) Singleton, Becky Atkins, Lisa (Bill) Stewart; brother, Rick (Ann) Atkins; nieces, Stacey Fine, Melissa Cooper, Heather Geiger, Kim and Courtney Atkins; nephews, Christopher Stewart and Josh Geiger; cousins, Jim (Betty) Atkins and her favorite great cousin, Amber Atkins Stafford; and lifetime friend, Jean Webb.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a 7:00pm funeral service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 1:15pm Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel to leave in procession for a 2:00pm graveside service at New Gray Cemetery.
