Carol Merriman Ogle

Carol Merriman Ogle, age 68, of Knoxville, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026. She was known for her quiet strength, steadfast courage, and abundant grace. She inspired others through her kindness and was a constant source of encouragement, hope, and love to all who knew her. Carol was a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church and retired from General Shale Brick. Preceded in death by husband of 33 years, Conard “CJ” Ogle; parents, Charles “Pete” and Leda Merriman; and brother, Wayne Reed. Survived by son, Justin (Andrea) Ogle; daughter, Miranda (Jason) Barnard; known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Gavin, and Addison “Addy” Barnard, siblings Jeffrey Merriman, Janet Merriman, Judi (David) Knight; brother-in-law, Dewayne Ogle; and sister-in-law, Janine (Robert) Burnett; several nieces and nephews, special friends Beetina Long, Amy and Charlie Whitson and aunt, Pansy Hayes.
