Carol Copeland

Carol Faye Copeland, 81, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2023 alongside family, and was met in the arms of Jesus.

She grew up in West Knoxville with her parents and younger brother, married Bill Copeland and moved to Powell. She was self-employed working as a hair dresser for many years. She loved spending time with and cooking for family, friends and neighbors, and enjoyed helping and serving others any time she had the opportunity. She will be remembered as being full of life and laughter. She loved cheering on the Tennessee Vols, playing piano, singing with the Hallelujah Chorus, and taking trips with her church family at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was the interim Music Director for Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church and past member of Sharon Baptist Church. She developed many close friendships with her neighbors at Alysha’s Vineyard Condominiums over the last few years of her life and often referred to them as her second family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Synergy Home Care, Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Powell, and Shannondale of Maryville for providing compassionate and attentive care as her health suddenly declined over the past 7 months.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Martha Anderson, brother Claude Anderson, and husband Bill Copeland.

She is survived by her son Gary Copeland, daughter in-law Amanda Copeland, grandsons Daniel and Ryan Copeland, and several cousins.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Wallace Memorial Church with Rev. Kent Williams and Rev. Dennis Blazier officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 10:45am at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.
