Carol Frances Brewer, age 82, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who brought joy to those around her. She had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Carol especially loved Mickey Mouse and treasured the many memories she made visiting Disney World. She was also known for her kindness and creativity, often crocheting blankets for friends and family as a special way of showing her love.
Carol dedicated many years working at St. Mary’s Hospital, where she formed lifelong friendships and took great pride in the work she did. Her time there was very meaningful to her, and she truly valued the relationships she built.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joe Brewer; her mother, Marie Taylor; her father, Frank Taylor; and the grandparents who raised her, James Everett (Jimmer) and Lena Everett (Granny).
Carol is survived by her son, Joey Brewer; her daughter-in-law, Beth Brewer; her grandsons, Matthew McSwords and Bryce Brewer; her sister, Frankie Collins (Boe) (Mike Collins); her nephew, Jason Webb.
Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
