Carl Elvin Richmond, III

Carl "Junior" Elvin Richmond, III, age 72, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2025. He was a graduate of Rule High School. Junior was a truck driver for Averitt Express for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association. Junior was of the Christian faith.

Preceded in death by father, Carl "John" E. Richmond II; mother, Margie Coffey; son, Jason “Worm” Lynn; brothers, Mike Richmond and Tilvis “Shot” Coffey.

Survived by wife of 41 years, Kathy “Toots” Richmond; children, Carl "Joe" E Richmond IV, Pnut (Karen), Jesse (Mykayla) and Shawn; grandchildren, Austin, Laylah, Kadin, Parker, Abby, Carter, Arabella, Delani “DD”, Josh, Michael, Randy, Allen, Cheyenne; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Missy, Toad, Lonnie, Chris.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00pm with his Uncle, Evangelist Ronnie Richmond officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:30am at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel to go in procession to Bells Campground Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Pnut, Joe, Jesse, Justin, Dustin, Brandon and Austin.
