In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 17th, 2026, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called our husband, father, and Poppa Calvin Dwight Padgett to Heaven. He was born on December 4th, 1954, to Donald and Bobbie Padgett, and married to Donna Marie (Anderson) Padgett of 48 years. He owned and operated the Amber Restaurant #2 in Fountain City and Raccoon Valley then the original Amber Restaurant in Halls. He was a graduate of Halls High School in the class of 1972. He touched the lives of many young boys as a head coach for the Knoxville Stars’ baseball organization. He was an avid outdoorsman and led many to Christ as a member of the Joy Divine Singers. He is preceded in death by mother and father Bobbie (Bailey) Padgett and Donald Ray Padgett, grandparents Joe and Alberta Padgett and grandparents John and Willie Bailey. He is survived by his wife Donna Padgett, sons Ike Padgett wife Avery, Ben Padgett (Sherrie Padgett), and grandchildren: Kannon, Kenzie, and Kaden Padgett. A care of convenience will be afforded to all who wish to pay respects on Tuesday, January 20th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Mynatt’s Funeral Home Halls Chapel. The family will have a graveside service at Bethany Baptist Church, 6705 E. Raccoon Valley Dr., Knoxville, TN 37938 at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21st. Reverend Charles Tindell to preside. The pallbearers will be Ike Padgett, Ben Padgett, Kannon Padgett, Kaden Padgett, Buddy Hicks, and Mike Farrington. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Lee and Jeremy Hicks. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.

We are especially grateful for the endless sacrifices that our Aunt Rubie Dabney and Aunt Melinda Anderson have made for our family. As well as Cindy Bradley and the staff at Sacred Ground Hospice House for their meticulous and compassionate care and empathy, along with Tennessee Hospice Care.
