Burnese Cate Martin

Burnese Cate Martin, age 94, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was the 5th child of A.M. and Bethel Cate of Jefferson County. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, John R. Martin; sister, Louella Cate; brothers, J.W., Leon and Paxton Cate; nephews, Haskell Jones, Robbie Jones and Jack Jones; niece, Wanda Dukes. Survived by daughter Jana B. Damante (Frank); granddaughter, Natasha Damante; great grandson, C.J.; nephews, Mike Cate and Steve Cate; Nieces, Emma Jane Long, Jill Jones, Linda Dooly, Sherry Cunningham, Judy Rutherford and Patsy Riley. Family and friends will meet on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 10:45am at Greenwood Cemetery for a 11:00am graveside service.
