Buford Wayne Day

Buford Wayne Day, age 80, went to be with Jesus on January 21, 2023. He longed to be with the love of his life, Joyce Crippen Day, who passed a little over 3 weeks ago, so God graciously answered his prayer. Love never fails. His children were blessed to have him as their dad and will miss him always. He adored his dear granddaughter, Keenlan. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed playing golf and loved his career as a food salesman. He considered himself a food connoisseur. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Crippen Day; parents, Buford and Hazel Day; sisters, Phyllis McElhaney, Doris Norman and Helen Grimm. He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Day; son, Jamie Day; granddaughter, Keenlan; sister, Janice Hudson. Special thanks to his precious niece, Brittany Miller, for her loving and exceptional care these past few weeks. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. The graveside will be private. Pallbearers will be Scott Tallent, Travis Kitts, Kenny Searcy, Richard (Rick) Norman. Honorary pallbearer, his beloved brother-in-law, David Tallent.
