Brenda Louise Sams

Brenda Louise Sams, age 81, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully into the gates of heaven on August 19, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. 

Our Nanna was an avid reader, lover of powerful cars (the 2004 white Mustang GT, was her favorite) and was a beautiful example of dedication, love, and kindness. Nanna’s family was the most important aspect of her life – and we will continue her legacy. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Bobby Gene Sams, Sr; and by her parents, Tom and Trula Story. She is survived by her son, Bobby G. Sams, Jr; granddaughters, Cindy Wood (Martin) and Amanda Branson (Wally); great-grandchildren, Harlie Rayburn, Halyne Rayburn and DeWayne Cash Branson (aka Bubble-Britches); brothers-in-law, Jerry Sams (Cindy), Donny Sams (Diane) and special friend, Debbie Reagan.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel.

Interment will be private.
