Brenda was lifted into the arms of God at 8:36 a.m. on Sunday, February 18th to a celebration in Heaven, walking on streets of gold after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by Mother, Lillian Wolfenbarger; Husband, George Holcombe; Brothers, Bob and Ben Wolfenbarger.
Survived by siblings; Betty Wolfenbarger Wilson, William Joseph Wolfenbarger, Rebecca Wolfenbarger Lee. Sons; Christopher Marsh, and Michael Marsh. Daughter; Mary Catherine Marsh, and several nieces, nephews, and a life long friend Belva Smith.
Brenda was born in Knoxville and loved being in the marching band in middle school. She spent her teen years in Memphis graduating from Frazier High School. On returning to Knoxville she studies nursing.
Brenda was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church of Knoxville. She was active with senior activities and inspired many to travel with Christian tours especially gospel music programs. She was active with the Red Hat Ladies of Maynardville, TN. and traveled with them to Hawaii. She loved to Travel!
Brenda and George were very active members of the United Methodist Church of Knoxville, Mark Kilborne Pastor.
Brenda was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was always willing to help others
Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel from 5:00-7:00PM with a 7:00PM funeral service to follow. A 2:00PM graveside will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery of Chandler, North Carolina. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
