Brenda Hensley

Brenda Fay Hensley, age 82 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on May 23, 2025. Brenda was a devoted member of West Park Baptist Church. She worked for Magnavox, TRW, and owned “B&D Fashions.”

Brenda is preceded in death by her late husband, Floyd Hensley; grandsons, Britton and Bryan Brock; mother and daddy, Jack and Pauline Moyers; twin brother, Jack Moyers.

She is survived by her spouse, Donald Kivett; sister, Dorothy Farmer; several sisters- in- law, Margie Ballenger, Carol Moyers, Barbre Frankie Hensley Bevins; son, Shane Hensley (Kat); step son, Douglas Kivett; daughters, Cindy Hensley Brock ( Michael); step daughter, Della Garner; grandchildren, Brianna Brock, Greg Dorsey, Sammi Jordan, Alyssa Faciane, Reece, Evan, and Brooke Garner, Matthew, Payton, and Karla Pyatt; great-grandchildren, Bryson Brock, Briella Brock, Sundai Brock; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

An honorable mention to her kind friends, Sandy Dean, Marilyn Westbrooke, Kat Graves and so many more. Brenda was one of those people, when you met her, you would never forget her. She loved everyone. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She will be forever missed by all of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel. Family and friends will process to Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service. Rev. Scott Dougherty will be officiating. Pallbearers: Curtis Farmer, Brandon Dougherty, Bobbie Bryant, Wriley Sturgill, Chris Moyers, Kyle Blake, Braden Thomas, Gary Hobson.

The family would ask that we celebrate Brenda’s life and all the love that surrounded her. She was a light in a room of darkness, and she is now the brightest Angel in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
