Blanca Simonian, age 96, born in Monteuidel, Uruguay. Moved to the United States in 1967. She has worked as a seamstress, teacher and real estate agent in Chicago until 1973, before moving to Florida, where she worked at hospitals as a translator. She moved to Knoxville in 1996 to serve as a translator, for Knox County Health Department.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell.
Preceded in death by mother, Yepraksi; father, Daniel; brothers, Moises, Antonio, Lorenzo, Manolo; and sister, Isabel. Survivors, nephew, Daniel; Great nephews, Jonathan, Jesse and Thomas; great niece, Jennifer; and other extended family.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 11:00am till 12:00 noon with the Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church of Powell. Pastor Tim McGhee will officiate.
