Billy Ray Violet, age 79, of Knoxville, TN, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He was of the Baptist faith. Billy had a passion for cars. He was either racing cars, fixing cars of all kinds, or building cars. Billy loved his WWE wrestling as well. Billy was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War Era as an aircraft mechanic.

He is survived by his children, Celeste (Robie) McClure, Suzanne Helton and Johnny Warren. Billy is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. The family and friends will meet by 12:15 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (Gov. John Sevier Hwy) for a 12:30 PM interment service. Reverend David Asbury officiating. Full military honors presented by Tri County Honor Guard.
