Billy Ray Pierce

Billy Ray Pierce, age 90 of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2020 at Island Home Health and Rehab. He was a member of Union Baptist Church of Halls and proudly served his country in the Naval Reserves from 1948-1950 and in the United States Air Force from 1950-1954. He retired from KUB in 1996 after 42 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Aileen Henry Pierce; parents, Loyd and Pauline Pierce and a sister, Betty Pierce Ayres. Survivors include his son, Brian Pierce and wife Connie; grandchildren: Benjamin Ray Pierce and wife Dana Austin Pierce and Amanda Pierce Tinson and husband Jared Tinson; great-grandchildren: Riley Renee Pierce, Austin Ray Pierce, Logan Ray Pierce and Luka Cade Tinson, along with several nieces and nephews. There will be a call of convenience of Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 10AM until 5PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Road, Knoxville, Tennessee. A Graveside serve will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Gary Vandergriff, officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 PM for the 3:00PM service.
