Billy Joe Powell

Billy Joe Powell, age 83, of Knoxville, TN gained his wings on Thursday, October 12, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a lover of Diet Dr. Pepper and was of the Baptist faith. Billy is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Janice Lorraine Powell, his parents; daughter, Janice Jordan, sons, David Powell, and Dennis Powell. Survived by his children; Karen (Jay) Dorsey, Randy (Regina) Powell, Jason (Amanda) Powell; as well as many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.  Friends and family will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 12:45 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023 for a 1:00 PM graveside service.
