Billy D. Kelley, age 84, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2026.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Christine Kelley; stepdaughter Kim; granddaughters Chelsi Christian (Travis) and Tiffany King; and his cherished great-grandchildren Dylan, Jaylan, Jacob, Carter, and Carsyn. He is also survived by his sisters Shelba (Don), Janice, Linda (Ron), Edith (Dean), and Joyce; sisters-in-law Marion Kelley and Rita Poynter (Bob); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Justina Kelley; his brother, Charles Kelley; his brother-in-law, Kenneth Pryor; his stepdaughter, Donna Cox; and his daughter, Debbie.
Billy was a skilled stone mason by trade and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time working around his home and was always happiest when he was building, fixing, or creating something with his hands. Above all, he loved his family deeply and was a devoted husband and a proud papaw.
A man of faith, Billy loved God and lived his life with quiet strength, kindness, and dedication to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, from 5-7pm with a service immediately following at 7pm. Rev. Louis Branch and Pastor Jeff Campbell will officiate. Friends and family will meet at New Gray Cemetery on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:45am for the 11am graveside service.
