Billy Wade Buchanan

Billy Wade Buchanan age 82 of Knoxville, went to be with Jesus, 8:31 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  He was a member and deacon of Northside Baptist Church and an avid Lady Vols Basketball fan.  Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Buchanan; parents, Maude and James Buchanan and several brothers and sisters.  Survivors; sons, David Buchanan and Scott (Karen) Buchanan; grandchildren, Beth (Jonathan) Tharpe and Justin (MeaKayla) Stooksbury; great-grandchildren, Abby and Aubree Tharpe, and Greyson Stooksbury; brother, Pete (Patsy) Buchanan; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Northside Baptist Church 201 Bernard Avenue Knoxville, TN 37917 followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Jonathan Tharpe and Rev. Byron Chesney officiating.  Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.  Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
