Billie Mae (Nanny) Wyrick, Born March 27, 1938, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 19, 2026, surrounded by all her babies.  Preceded in death by parents Thomas and Juanita Harper, husband Clifton E. Wyrick, son Steven E. Wyrick, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Wyrick, brother Fred Harper, sister Betty Hodges, grandson Robert Caldwell and granddaughter Misty Key.  Survived by sons, Rector Thomas Wyrick (Elsie), Danial Wyrick (Angie), Thomas Wyrick (Sheena); daughter Anita England (Casey her favorite son-in-law); grandchildren, Steven, Christopher Wyrick, Eric Caldwell (Leigh Anne), Bradley Wyrick, Samantha Wyrick, Tabitha Coakley (Kyle), Nicholas Trent (Courtney), Nathan Trent, Jacob and Bentley England; brother, Vince Harper (Carolyn); many nieces and nephews; great-grandchildren, Caleb Wyrick, Jacob Key, Lainey Caldwell, Ne'vaeh Wyrick, Gideon Wyrick, Eli Coakley, Bella Mae Wyrick, Ezekiel Wyrick, Spencer Oakley and Destiny Rose Wyrick.  Billie Mae was a member of Holston Hills Freewill Baptist Church.  She loved to sing from her songbook, dance and praise God with Gideon, her grandson, during services.  She made sure all her kids and grandbabies knew about Jesus and also made sure they went to church growing up.  If you stayed with her on the weekend you better be ready for Jesus come Sunday morning.  Her door was always open to her family.  Nanny had such a giving heart and would help anyone.  I found comfort in our last conversation the day before her passing, seeing Jesus and her telling me how beautiful he was.  She told us she was going with him.  She was smiling and crying with tears of joy.  Momma (Nanny) you are loved so much and will be deeply missed.  Special "Thank You" to UT Hospice, Nurse Allison and CNA Latosha, Sheena Wyrick (daughter-in-law) for helping so much with Momma.  She loved you so much.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at Holston Hills Freewill Baptist Church 3629 McDonald Road Knoxville, TN Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Skip Ellison officiating.  Family will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel at 10:00 a.m. for viewing Friday, January 23, 2026, and then will meet at Highland South Cemetery 9010 E.
