Thompson, Betty Lou Mullins (Anderson) age 87 of Knoxville went to be with her lord Tuesday, September 2, 2025. God picked the most beautiful rose from his earthly garden to place in his heavenly garden. Betty was a kind, compassionate, God-fearing person. She is loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew her. She is a long time member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Jonas and Sarah Mullins of Kentucky. Her husbands John Thompson and Larry Anderson both of Knoxville. Brothers: Ted, Lester, Keith, Kendall, and Vester Mullins all of Kentucky. Sisters: Sarah Lou Mullins, Versa Brock, and Arizona Moretz all of Kentucky and Blanche Hubbard of Knoxville. She is survived by nieces Vickie Carpenter and Sandy Hubbard of Knoxville, Ronnie Wilson of Lexington, and Brenda Roberts of Kentucky. Great Nieces: Kendall Lynn Mullins, Riley Kate Mullins, and Michelle (Mark) Newby all of Kentucky. Nephews: John Wesley (Donna) Mullins, Timothy (Janna) Mullins, Mike (Debbie) Mullins, and Raymond (Donna) Mullins all of Kentucky. Great Nephews: Jonathan (Jessica) Mullins, Richard Wilson both of Kentucky, Billy, Davey, and Noah Carpenter of Knoxville. Many other Nieces, nephews, and stepchildren. Her very dear friends Kathy Crum, Michelle Phillips, Kaye Hoyt, and Betty Crawford. Family will receive friends from 5:30 pm to 7:00pm Friday, September 5, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel followed by a 7:00pm funeral service Rev Mark McCoig officiating. Family and Friends will meet at 9:45am Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery at 7916 Pedigo Rd, Knoxville for a 10:00am graveside service.
