She leaves behind her daughters: Betty (Steve) Carmon, Judith (Jack) Canter, and Jenny (Marty Hodge) Welch; her grandchildren: Amanda (Chris) Fairchild, Daniel (Chantal) Veals, Brandy (Corey) Hickman, Wesley Weaver, Caitlin (James) Ellis, and Joe Welch; great-grandchildren: Jaelyn Fairchild, Stefan Jayce Fairchild, Asher Fairchild, Ansley Veals, Corbin Veals, Presley Veals, Teagan Veals, Karrigan Veals, Alyssa Appleby, Brooklyn Appleby, Abigail Ellis and Sadie Ellis; her brothers: Evereace (Brenda) Valentine, Orlando Valentine, Jimmy (Shirley) Valentine and Larry Valentine; her sisters: Dana (David) Weaver and Connie Cummings; several nieces and nephews; her dear friend, Joyce Dyer. She was an amazing woman. Her greatest gift was to teach us about the Lord, how to pray and how to have faith. She spent most of her working years as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and designing ladies clothing. In her later years, she developed a love of dancing and would often talk about David dancing for the Lord. She loved ballroom dancing the best and spent many hours twirling around her home with a bright smile and a happy heart. Her zest for life is an example to live by. She will be greatly missed. Remember her when you see butterflies dancing on the wind. She is now dancing for the Lord on streets of gold. To every thing there is a season...A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 KJV. Family and friends are welcome to join together to celebrate her life Saturday, October29, 2022 from 1-4 pm at the Appalachian Event Center at Norris Dam State Park, 125 Village Green Circle, Rocky Top, Tennessee 37769.
