Bernard Thomas Kelly

Bernard (B.T.) Kelly, age 83, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

B.T. was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. He retired from Rural Metro Fire Department with over 30 years of service, as well as TVA. B.T. was a also a Veteran of the United States Army having served as a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division.

Preceded in death by father, Bernard Kelly.

Survivors include loving wife of 41 years, Ruby Kelly; daughter, DeeAnn Shipley (Jay); grandchildren, Kenzlie, Hadleigh and Levi.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel. The funeral service will take place at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11:30am. Following the service family and friends will go to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service.
