Bennie Mae Lett passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 82 at her home in Corryton, TN. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and selfless service throughout her life. She was born and raised in Tazewell, TN and after marrying her husband, Landon in 1963, she moved to Knoxville and soon began raising her 3 children. Her husband passed away in 2014. She was also preceded in death her parents and younger brother. Bennie Mae is survived by her children, Teresa (Scott) Webb, Tammy (Dennis) Adams and Michael (Kari) Lett. She also is survived by a sister, and four brothers, along with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Bennie Mae found solace and strength in her faith and was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. She was always ready to lend a hand or support those in need. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was known for her delicious homemade meals, and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her cooking. Her meals were more than just food; they were acts of love, bringing people together and nurturing their spirits as much as their bodies. Her nurturing character extended beyond her own home. Bennie Mae dedicated many years to working in nursing homes and hospitals, where she cared for countless individuals with boundless compassion and patience. Her presence brightened the lives of residents, offering them not just care, but also companionship and dignity. Bennie Mae’s life was a testament to the power of love and service. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 6:00 pm funeral service officiated by Rev. Jerry Epperson and Fred Epperson. Family and friends will meet Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12:45 pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 pm interment service.
