Benjamin Malcolm Kidwell, age 78, of Oak Ridge, born in Athens, GA, has went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2025. He was a retired navy veteran who served in both the Six Day War and the Vietnam War. He was given many commendations during his time. He was a known ham radio operator. He belonged to the F14 Tomcats in Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Alma Collins Kidwell; aunt Sally Boruff; uncle Jim Ted Collins; brother Billy Van Kidwell, Jr. He is survived by daughters, Jennifer Marie Kidwell Schwarz and Amy Elizabeth Kidwell; son-in-law Brian David Schwarz; grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Shelby Schwarz Miller and Jackson Brody Gardner; great-grandchildren Piper Marie Elizabeth Schwarz, Evelyn Elizabeth Marie Schwarz, and Liam David Martin Miller. Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 East Governor John Sevier Highway Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 2:00 p.m. committal service with full military honors provided by the East Tennessee State Veterans Honor Guard.
