Barbara Lakin Wolfenbarger, age 75, of Knoxville, Tennessee won her battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2025. She retired from AT&T after thirty-three years of service. She was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist where she enjoyed her Adult Bible Study class. She also enjoyed her neighborhood Devotional Group. Barbara met each challenge she faced with dignity and grace.
Barbara is preceded in death by mother and father, Rev. Herman and Mary Lakin.
She is survived by husband of thirty-three years, Wayne Wolfenbarger; brother, Glen Lakin (Carol); sister, Carolyn Rogers (Don) and Kathy Lakin; sister-in-law, Lisa Beeler (Larry); brothers-in-law, Steve Wolfenbarger (Linda) and Mike Wolfenbarger; stepson, Joel Wolfenbarger; grandchildren, Harrison, Hayden and Holden, as well as nieces and nephews and also her special friend of many years, Sandy Mynatt.

A Graveside service will be held at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2:00pm, officiated by Pastor Mark Kilbourne and Rev. Bruce Marston.
