Barbara Jean Duggan

Barbara (Barb) Duggan, age 88, of Powell, Tennessee, passed into the arms of Jesus Sunday afternoon December 7, 2025. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil; son, David; parents, Hugh Bedford and Barbara Juanita Sutton; brothers, Larry, Howard and John. 

She is survived by family and several dear friends and neighbors including Jennifer Cobb, Katherine Cobb, Shelby Haun, Wayne and Tammy Williamson, Larry Waugh and family, Tommy and Becky Pledge, Daniel and Kara Saint. She was known as "Granny Barb" to very special grand kids, Oceana Smalls, Jonah Williamson, Zachary Pledge and Philip, Benjamin, Joshua and Stephen Saint. 

Barb was a member of Callahan Road Baptist Church and was steadfast in that she was saved and ready to meet the Lord. She was a very strong-willed, independent and loving lady. She will be missed greatly. 

Family and friends would like to thank the staff at Ben Atchley Veterans Home and Smoky Mountain Hospice for such wonderful and compassionate care. 

The family will be receiving friends 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday December 12, 2025, with a funeral service following at 7:00pm officiated by Reverend Aaron Hunley. Shelby Haun will be honoring her with special music.

 Family and friends will meet at 12:45pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Lyons View Pike for a 1:00pm interment service.

Pallbearers will be Shayne Cooper, Mike Cline, Daniel Saint, Jonah Williamson, Zachary and Tommy Pledge.
