Avery Allen Moyars was born on March 21,1951. He passed away at his home in Luttrell, Tennessee on Sunday, September 28, 2025 surrounded by his wife and three daughters.
Avery was a Sergeant in the 153 Calvary in the United States Army for 13 years. He retired as a Deputy Sheriff from the Marion County, Florida Sheriff's Office after 29 years of service.
He was a devoted man of God, a devoted husband, a loving father of three beautiful girls, and a caring grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loyde and Ruth Sheets of Lafayette, Indiana; father, Theodore Edwin Moyars of Dunnellon, Florida; mother, Jean Stewart of Lafayette Indiana; and brother Jeffery Jean Moyars of Floral city.
He is survived, by his loving wife of 56 years Peggy Aileene Moyars of Luttrell, TN; daughter, Michaela Ann Banks (Matthew Banks) of Morriston, Florida, Carol Lynn Smith (Scott Smith) of Lecanto Florida, Christan Gale Nolte (Jonathan Nolte) of Brunswick Georgia; grandchildren, Brittany Day, Amber Johns(Caleb Johns), Ashley Moyars, Colton Ruble, Justin Banks (Stephanie Banks), Trinity Christophel (Logan Christophel), Scotty Smith, Alysia Nolte, and Aidyn Nolte; great grandchildren, Mason Osgood, Corbin Day, Nevaeh Miller, Brayden Moyars, Liam Christophel, Lainey Banks and Bayker Banks; and sister, Carla Bartlet of West Lafayette, Indiana.
Viewing service will be held at Hippensteel Funeral Home located at 822 North 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47904 on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4:00 pm to -7:00 pm.

Avery will be laid to rest at Montmorenci Cemetery located at 595 North County Road, Montmorenci, Indiana 46962.
