Argel Buckner

Argel Buckner, age 86, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Buckner; father, Lynch Davis; mother, Nervie Davis; brothers, Bert & Johnny; and sisters, Inell Oliver and Margie Davis. She is survived by her son, Randy Buckner and loving partner, Sheila; grandson, Austin Buckner and his wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Damon and Effie; and siblings, Ben Davis, Wayne Davis and Blanche Snelson; she loved all her many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to Argel’s dear friend, Angie and her niece, Karen. She was loved by all that knew her and was the greatest mother ever. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with a Funeral Service to follow with Rev. Andy Lynn, officiating. Family and friends will meet at Skaggs - Monroe Cemetery, Maynardville, TN, on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:45 am for an 11:00 am Graveside Service.
